It's high judicial campaign season here in Texas, and let me tell you, partisan elections with campaigns and a need for lots of fundraising is a dumb way to run those particular trains. Nothing to do with the current political environment. I've said this every time. But man is it dumb.

The Baltimore neighborhood of “Bolton Hill” didn’t start going by that name until 1954. Before that, e.g., when the Shiverses moved here, it was just called the Mount Royal District (among other things). She knew it then.

Maryland taxpayers can't pay for on field talent, but can pay to make the stadium nicer. The incentives are kind of weird!

A lot of people are dunking on this, but there has been a lot of boiler-room type behavior to sign up people for ACA plans, especially in Florida, with people sometimes unaware what they were signing up for. Bloomberg reported on the practice here: www.bloomberg.com/features/202...

Following a Supreme Court of Maryland ruling, my office will refund over $250 million to utilities. Ratepayers covered those taxes through their bills. I’m calling on utilities to return the full amount through bill credits. This is ratepayer money.

SOS to Baltimore traffic calming savants. Last Sat, a car took out the bus shelter on the nw corner of Northern Pkwy and York Rd. The bollard w/ the street crossing buttons was creamed earlier, in one of at least 3 crashes here in 2026 alone. Using public transport here is both miserable and deadly

Police tape blocks off a bus shelter at the north-western corner of York Road and Northern Parkway after the I-lost-count-th accident last Saturday in which cars slammed into public transport stop and pedestrian areas of the intersection. This busy north-south, east-west intersection is critical for people using public transport, who areleft to wait for buses in a chaotic, dangerous, and decrepit environment. In the past year, there have been at least three major collisions to hit this corner alone.

A concrete mound is all that remains of the bollard that used to house the street crossing buttons for pedestrians trying to get across the heavy and fast traffic. The bollard was taken out several accidents ago and has gone unfixed for months
