The main lesson to draw from RBH's latest ploy is not how [pejorative] she is. It's to grasp that this type of role—executive committee chair of a Dem county committee—has enough real power to be WORTH desperately trying to hold onto. It's proof that @newkingsdems.bsky.social's struggle matters.

Damn, not Tim Curry too. Forever one of the best Satans but dearest to my heart, the Butler. I love Clue so much. He had such scale, from the smallest eye twitches to the most manic races around that set. He was a fucking joy and I love how he was still doing bits right to the end.

Adding national mourning to borough mourning. I was listening to all of Dolly's albums this year but I'm only up to Honky Tonk Angels. I loved knowing Dolly was around. It felt like she was always looking for the best in us and finding it. This feels like Bowie and Prince. We'll always love you

Welp. Power is an addiction, and that's 21 people who are going to hit bottom and feel it one day. For some reason, can't imagine why, I keep thinking about all those Adams cronies in cuffs.

A judge refused to grant an injunction against Bichotte's plan to turn the Brooklyn Democratic Party into a dictatorship, saying the harm has to be done before anyone can argue for redress. Smdh. **We need a concept of preventive justice, like preventive medicine.**

Somewhere in NYC, about 5 or 6 years ago, an ice cream truck vendor was kind to a street cat, and now my cat remembers you every time he hears the jingle. He perches on his tower to look out the window and purrs. My cat has so many fears and triggers. This is one happy memory. Thank you #caturday

Brooklyn, you are about to have the leader of your dreams!!! Julio will organize a Democratic Party you can be proud of, and you better believe he will focus on those contests against Republicans in South Brooklyn. I have the utmost respect for him and I can't wait to see his dynamism at full power!

The Supreme Court just launched one of the largest attacks on immigrants in modern American history. Thousands of Haitians and Syrians now risk losing the right to live and work in the country they call home.

This decision will cause enormous pain across the five boroughs. Here in New York, it falls hardest on our Haitian community, one of the largest in the country, alongside Syrian families.

I joined labor leaders with 1199SEIU, elected officials, and advocates to send a clear message to immigrant New Yorkers: You belong here. We will not turn our backs on you.

The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs will share additional information and resources soon. If you have questions about your status or need legal assistance, call our Immigration Legal Support Hotline at 800-354-0365.

Hey, everybody who hates Jay Jacobs: the reformers' win against the Brooklyn machine last night bodes very well for us! If the Brooklyn delegation doesn't attend the state cmte, they can't make quorum :) With those kinds of numbers, it really is possible to vote him out.

Find your state cmte members (aka district leaders), AND your county cmte members (hyperlocal representation!), and make your wishes known. A lot of internal repairs and reforms have to get done (rewriting the deeply unfair cmte rules to start). But then your party will work for YOU!

It also means that the Brooklyn Democratic Party can step away from cronies and crooks, into the fight against fascism and for affordability/working class dignity. Dream big! What do you wish Democrats would do? A molten moment like this makes it all possible.
