So now that the embargo is lifted my thoughts of #ACBlackFlagResynced is it's AC Black Flag with a fresh coat of paint. And that's not a bad thing. It's still fun to be sailing your ship around the Caribbean and then welcoming a bunch of clueless guards into your 100th "murder bush".

So as of last week I have had my hands on #ACBlackFlagResynced more detailed thoughts on Wednesday when the full embargo lifts.

It's the Final Wrap up of #SGF2026 the highs the lows it's a little less than 2 hours of grabbing here finishing out a SGF that had the games despite them all coming before GTA and presenting some of them in a messy light.

I know Calvin’s dad is already having a moment, but every terrible “outsource precious and fleeting moments with your children to tech so that you can spend more time on your work” pitch makes me think of that one strip I never really cared about as a kid, but care a lot about as an adult.

The Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin asks his dad to come play in the snow with him. His dad initially says no, because he has to work. Then, angry at himself, his Dad goes out to build a snowman with Calvin. As the Dad works into the night to make up for it, we see Calvin’s mum lifting him up to give one of the few, if only, kisses he ever gives his dad in the Calvin and Hobbes run. His dad is content. It’s a textless comic, and it’s lovely.

I was lucky enough to have gotten early access to #FF7Rebirth on Xbox. Review in conjunction with @birdmanguelph.bsky.social on @thisweekingeek.net will be coming shortly. I'm very happy with this port sans a few small gripes I will detail in the review. Here's this beautiful shot in photo mode.

Man #Mixtape is one of those experience games that is totally worth playing. It is a movie like video game but in the sense that it still does stuff that you're only gonna get when playing a video game. Obviously not streamer friendly but at the $20 price tag (for those w/o Gamepass) it's worth it.

THIS! As a gamer some of my top games of all time have one or two parts of the game where I literally get to the point of pulling my hair out on replay. One game on revisit I literally went how in the heck did I get pass this so easily on my first playthrough?

Applies readily to games too. It would be so much easier for devs if gamers simply had opinions. Instead we have armchair pros who've never touched gamedev supposing that they know more about what a game needs and how it should be made.

As a #Pokémon fan who loves VGC/competitive Pokémon battles. #PokémonChampions is absolutely worthless and in its current state a half baked live service whose economy is so in favor of GF/Pokemon Company that it feels wrong.

These people under the guise of getting illegals out of the country are terrorizing the general population...sounds pretty domestic terrorism like to me. They've now murdered 2 and injured hundreds more. This isn't American.

So #HazbinHotel Season 2 completed. Great finale, very much leaves allot of storylines to continue in Season 3 and 4. Some very good payoffs from Season 1 and just an overall step up from season 1. The extra 4 min (14 min in the finale) per episode did absolute wonders for the pacing this season. 🧵

Hey yall new @thisweekingeek.net #LooseCannon remember those Aladdin movies well we watched all 3 some high highs and some low lows. A very solid discussion at the legacy of Robin Williams and the character that he might very well be best known for in a career of iconic characters.

Holy shit this is something I never thought was going to happen. A full 4k rerender of Tron Legacy was so expensive that I never thought Disney/Sony would cough up the money for it. (if you didn't know Tron Legacy's FX were rendered at 1080p for release).
