I was lucky enough to have gotten early access to #FF7Rebirth on Xbox. Review in conjunction with @birdmanguelph.bsky.social on @thisweekingeek.net will be coming shortly. I'm very happy with this port sans a few small gripes I will detail in the review. Here's this beautiful shot in photo mode.

Man #Mixtape is one of those experience games that is totally worth playing. It is a movie like video game but in the sense that it still does stuff that you're only gonna get when playing a video game. Obviously not streamer friendly but at the $20 price tag (for those w/o Gamepass) it's worth it.

And this doesn't even get to the fact that the game runs at 720p 60fps in menus and 30fps in battles. No Switch 2 patch (I would be shocked if it even did have one at launch). Overall I can say in its current state:

My Letterboxd stats. And I'm a goddamn dinosaur who goes to the theater pretty much every week to see on average 2 movies a week. I run the gambit of genres and audiences and see most major releases. letterboxd.com/kenreels/yea...

As 2025 ends, I snuck in a first watch of @realgdt.bsky.social #Frankenstein and look at that it hit my Top 10 Movies. Honestly it's one of a few big budget movies that made it this year 7 of my top 10 all were some level of indie/low budget. Full write-ups available on Letterboxd boxd.it/ESUkA

Huh guess I've been playing @coheedandcambria.bsky.social newest album harder than I realized. But seriously this has become my album of the year atm. There's not a single track that I think is skippable. As always the tracks flow so well into each other.

So for my #newyearsresolution I wanted to do this. This is a Hobonichi Techo. A free form daily planner/journal. Plan is to at the very least chronicle highlights from my day or any creative ideas or experiences I have. I will either be writing in it as a morning or night routine don't know.
