I might be more impressed with the new Roadster if Musk wasn't a democracy-damaging Nazi that reneged on his own bet to solve world hunger to instead donate it to himself.

Please remember these moments when we hear authorities preaching road safety to our kids or thoughts and prayers to those families who have lost someone to road violence.

If anyone was skeptical, "Musk disables Ukraine's Starlink terminals during a major Russian attack" is a pretty strong argument to get US oligarch tech out of our governments (and out of everywhere else.)

Regarding the narrative of "culture" as an argument for return to office. When I woke up my kids this morning to get them ready for school, they greeted me with a joyful giggle. Nobody at the office greets me with a joyful giggle. WHERE IS MY JOYFUL GIGGLE? #RemoteWork #WorkFromHome

I'm going to start doing something that I used to do in #Brampton: Use a web site change detection service to tell me when new council meeting agendas and minutes are published. I'm also going to try to pay more attention to the #NorthBay YouTube channel to watch council meetings.

Canada is refusing to issue ISBNs to books primarily generated with AI. This illustrates both the urgency of the problem of the growing flood of slop books, and also the toothlessness of addressing it on the honor system without there also being consequences for lying
Use of artificial intelligence
By registering with ISBN Canada, you declare that your book was created by a human author. You may use AI tools only for limited support tasks, such as brainstorming ideas, checking grammar, or formatting your book. You must not use AI to generate the text, create the artwork, or translate the book. ISBN Canada does not issue ISBNs for works whose content is primarily generated by AI. LAC is currently reviewing its policy regarding the use of AI content creation and our guidance is subject to change.

I don't think I realized how taxing it was on me until I was forced to stop and deal with my anxiety and trauma. Now, I relate to this. Yes, I want to be informed. But it's so hard to do that and not be pulled into fast-moving doom-spiraling narratives that quickly become overwhelming.

As a former Bramptonite, I want to support Jamie Lowery. But, his platform says: - Reduce spending on consultants. - Improve budgeting and financial reporting. Unless there is repressed talent that's been kept hidden at City Hall, where does the improved reporting come from? BS alarms are ringing.
