Anyways. Tomorrow I go shopping for a “professional” outfit. School has set up mock interviews with real PT clinics for our Professional Issues in PT class. 3 interviews in 1.5 hrs. Sounds exhausting. We are supposed to look nice. Suggestions for where to get such an outfit are welcome.

It’s supposed to, but it doesn’t for all bodies, fyi. For some of us it increases heart rate and activates the sympathetic nervous system instead of parasympathetic, increasing fight-or-flight feelings.

Visited my mom today. Her partner died a few days ago. He was a wonderful man, gone much too soon. We hung some of the paintings he owned in her living room, reminisced, cried, hugged a lot. Grieving is so hard. Glad I could be there for her though.

My PCP was the one who originally prescribed the Metoprolol, not even a specialist… not sure why your doc won’t try anything! That seems silly to me. Trial and error is so much of how we came to my current med combo that works pretty well! If something doesn’t work, try something else!

Metoprolol and Clondine are the main ones I’ve been on the past 4 years, along with at least 10 grams of salt & plenty of fluid with electrolytes. We’re actually about to try a different alpha blocker that my dysautonomia guy says is often better for autoimmune causes; Doxazocin. We’ll see!

I guess there’s stigma here (USA) but it’s at least somewhat context-dependent. At my job, many of my coworkers talk to themselves openly, as do I, and we’re all comfortable/fine with it, it’s very normalized in that environment. Helps us keep track of what we’re doing!

It's $880 billion over the next decade. Still cruel, but ending Medicaid is too stupid even for the GOP to consider. So it is more like a 10% cut, which is still massive. Most of the budget and cuts are written that way. The tax cuts would add ~$4.7 Trillion deficit over a decade.
