Many people fall into falsehood and fabrication. The real poison is doing so without shame. The sight of right-wing supporters of shameless liars - and some shameless liars themselves - piling on someone who clearly was capable of shame isn't one I will forget easily.

2 more depressing things about the Jason Arday affair to add to the pile: 1) Arday's approach to his career was the antithesis of radical, a bad parody of performative over-achievement and almost Randian individualism. 2) Arday's story is being used to discredit the radicalism that Arday avoided.
