The Steam Machine is absolutely excellent. I’m a perfect fit though, with a day 1 Steam account holding ~900 games. And a Steam Deck doing a lot of heavy lifting. Having my library in my living room is outstanding. The price is questionably high for most users though.

I’ve been building a system that’s gotten quite complex. Mostly using Lovable to quickly iterate. But now I’m migrating out of it. This “work” has really tickled my right hemisphere 🧠. There’s lots of doom and gloom around AI, but enabling lapsed engineers to build is so good.

Did the scariest thing I've done on my nights-and-weekends projects to-date (outlap.xyz): emailed prospective users about it and asked for feedback. So nervous and slightly embarrassed for some reason. But so far, I've had *insanely* positive responses. Should have done it a month or two ago!

IMO, the reason people hate the Ferrari Luce is fairly simple. They’re charging €450,000 too much for it, and it looks absolutely nothing like the companies’ logo suggests it should. Petrol heads hated Porsche going towards an EV but loved the looks of it, and even the innovative two-gear thing.

For what it’s worth, even with meagre sunlight this week, I’ve been able to run the car for free. Mostly just shops & crèche runs. But that’s a big deal for most households. There’s a perception that they only work at peak summer in Ireland.

Lack of traffic means the bus has to sit idle at stops for a few mins. Which again, introduces my timely reminder that school time needs to be addressed for traffic. Get school buses operational and make walking/cycling viable.
