I’ve always loved the dance of these words. Because it’s a lovely metaphor for the human nature of teaching and learning math. And it shows how we can focus BOTH on our place AND our value in learning teaching math just as much as teaching PV standard. Makes my brain spin in exciting directions.

Ooof. I use this word with care because it always fires me up. I think of a tool that brings an outcome, whether good/bad/anything in between: a hammer, a pen, a word, a role, an interaction, a vote, a non verbal cue, a platform, a bank account or credit score, a skin color, language, etc.

I am Crystal and live in Yanaguana from the Carrizo Comecrudo peoples (San Antonio Texas). My friends, family, and animals are holding me down as I sometimes spin out with worries and stress. I lost a LOT of family/friends in 2024 so 2025 is all about gratitude and never missing oppty to connect
