On the one hand Warsaw is not really city which vibe I enjoy… But I’m kinda glad this view exists as it’s great symbol for the last 20 years of growth

New Reddit copypasta just landed
I keep coming back to C# because it doesn’t try too hard. The syntax is clean, things behave the way you expect, and you’re not constantly dealing with weird edge cases or unnecessary complexity. You just open the project and start building. It’s one of those languages where you don’t notice it getting in your way. Whether it’s a small tool or a bigger system, everything feels consistent and predictable, and that saves a lot of time and nerves.Hard to explain, but once you get used to it, a lot of other languages start feeling either too messy or overcomplicated. I just enjoy working with it and keep coming back to it.

One of my "biggest" issue with @vscode.dev extensibility story is that its developer experience is optimized for building "serious" extensions. But sometimes I just want to add single command or something. Init.el/vim files were great for that. I wonder if we can do the same for VSCode 🤔🙃😎😏

That was fun few days on the @githubnext.com offsite, it was absolutely amazing fun to hung out together. And now it’s time to go back home and build great things that makes developers happy.

I find it very annoying that we still use file as a unity which is displayed on the screen by my IDE - files will probably always be there (our compilers and things like git assume they’re base of everything) but when I work on stuff it’s never just about or fully about single file.

What if we put them together and created environment where you can edit both forms at the same time, while having bidirectional feedback loop on what you’re doing?

One of the most interesting properties of LLMs is how they are able to transform data (in our case - code) from one form to another in cases where mechanical transformations doesn’t exists. However current UXs keep those form separate. #UX #AI #DeveloperTools

One of the most annoying things about AI usage nowadays is how everyone puts equality between AI and chat. Chat is lowest common denominator form of UX for AI - it’s basic, and easy to implement. But UX design is about modeling users workflows. Chat is very rarely answer to that. #UX #AI

Night mode (and all computational photography stuff Apple is doing) in the 15 Pro Max is really ridiculous. Bunch of pics I’ve made today - I’d probably need to spend quite a lot of effort if I wanted to take such photos with my professional camera. Here its just 3s and done
