Well now the problems I had looking up specific people last week makes sense. And yes that is deeply messed up. If someone is in ICE custody, they should be findable, full stop. It's already bad enough that people disappear from the system while they're being transported somewhere else.

FWIW I don’t think that AI is an existential threat, nor on track to become one. I do however think that the leaders of the biggest AI companies, AI’s strongest boosters, and some of the folks who are most adept at using it to exploit others are actively hastening along OTHER existential threats.

Third Way Democrats didn’t invent workfare, they mainstreamed this conservative idea. By recasting work requirements and welfare conditionality as “progressive” reform, they shifted the center-left toward treating basic support as something earned through paid work, not a social right.

Thirty-six years ago, the ADA was won through years of organizing, protest, legal advocacy, and coalition-building led by disabled people. While it transformed this country, its promise remains unfinished, and today, many of its protections are under attack. #ADA36 #DisabilityPrideMonth
Graphic for a Medium blog commemorating the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Heavy font reading "36" overlays a background of architectural blueprint drawings. The U.S. Capitol, tinted deep red, appears on the left behind a historic photograph of disability rights demonstrators, including wheelchair users carrying a worn early American flag. Along the bottom edge, silhouettes of modern protesters connect past and present movements for justice. A white title card with borders in the foreground reads, "The ADA at 36: An Unfinished Promise Under Attack," with key words in red. The CRDJ logo appears in the upper left, and Medium branding appears at the bottom.
