I am trying to self host some software and I have discovered that my mail server is quite picky. Specifically, it rejects sending emails at all with "5.7.1 Spam message rejected" if the header `MIME-Version` is not `1.0` and if the header `Date` is missing or not a valid date.

I wish there would be some sorta universalish way for apps to tell the system "I'm putting some cache here, yeet it if you're running low on disk space or after 2 weeks", and then for the system to actually do that, and for it to be more flexible than one path that most stuff won't use.

Sometimes Signal makes me really hate their app... I recorded a video to show a friend some catenary poles. Despite sending it in "HD" mode, the video is a pixelated mess, and of course Signal didn't save the original so I can send it with another app.

Is Alpine a GNU/Linux distribution? I feel like it isn't.

Some GNU/Linux distributions, such as openSUSE, Alpine and NixOS provide Guix through their own package managers. The version of Guix may be older than 1.5.0 but you can update it afterwards by running guix pull.
