Fun fact: mein Gerät ist eigentlich nicht gerootet. Thank you, TK.

General terms of service

Our security program deems your device to be unsafe. Unfortunately you cannot use the TK-App on this device.

This can have the following causes, among others:

* Ihr Gerät ist gerootet. Das Sicherheitsniveau Ihres Gerätes ist dadurch für uns nicht mehr einschätzbar.

Note: Some manufacturers make these changes at the factory.

Data protection has priority

We are required by law to protect your health data. We must also protect the health data of all other customers, for example against attacks via a manipulated app. This danger can exist with rooted devices. For this reason, we can only approve mobile devices if they meet our security standards. You may be able to unlock your device by resetting it to factory defaults or by performing a system update.

If you have any questions, please send us an email to tk.app@tk.de - we are happy to help. Further information about our security concept can be found at: www.tk.de/tk/942778 (German).

Wow, the Go devs are something... (/neg) I don't agree with mandatory compilation errors for unused values with the argument "we don't want warnings", but at least I could have put that under different points of view. But to then not have a compilation […] [Original post on procial.tchncs.de]
Go code with two functions (NoError and YesError), first one returning the string "meow" and no error, the second one returning the string "bad" and an error.
Then the main function calls NoError, checks for error (there is none) and prints the string "meow". It then calls YesError, does NOT check for error (even if there is one), and prints the string "bad".

The actual Go code follows:

package main

import (
	"fmt"
	"log"
)

func NoError() (string, error) {
	return "meow", nil
}

func YesError() (string, error) {
	return "bad", fmt.Errorf("oof")
}

func main() {
	data, err := NoError()
	if err != nil {
		log.Panicf("%s", err.Error())
	}
	fmt.Printf("%s\n", data)
	newData, err := YesError()
	fmt.Printf("%s\n", newData)
}

Is Alpine a GNU/Linux distribution? I feel like it isn't.
Some GNU/Linux distributions, such as openSUSE, Alpine and NixOS provide Guix through their own package managers. The version of Guix may be older than 1.5.0 but you can update it afterwards by running guix pull.

Dear whoever invented the HAProxy configuration format, wtf. Why. No. What.
Screenshot of HAProxy documentation:

and this one:

   .if streq("$ENABLE_SSL",     1)

will compare the environment variable "ENABLE_SSL" to the value " 1" (with a single leading space). The reason is the line is first split into words like this:

   .if streq("$ENABLE_SSL",     1)
  |---|--------------------|   |--|
    1           2               3

then the weak quoting is applied and environment variable "$ENABLE_SSL" is
resolved (let's say for example that ENABLE_SSL=0), and finally the words are reassembled into a single string by placing a single space between the words:

   .if streq(0, 1)
  |---|-------|--|
    1     2     3

and only then it is parsed as a single expression. The space that was inserted between the comma and "1" is still part of the argument value, making this argument " 1":

   .if streq(0, 1)
  |---|-----|-|--|
    \    \    \  \_ argument2: " 1"
     \    \    \___ argument1: "0"
      \    \_______ function: "streq"
       \___________ directive: ".if"

It's visible here that even if ENABLE_SSL had been equal to "1", it wouldn't have matched " 1" since the string would differ by one space.

Note: as explained in section "2.2. Quoting and escaping", a good rule of thumb is to never insert unneeded spaces inside expressions.
