Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. I'm no expert in crowd sizes, but holy cow, the #HandsOff Protest and march today in Portland (Oregon) might be even bigger than the Women's March. I'm hearing ~50K at LEAST, which is only downtown and not counting the thousands gathered around the suburbs at smaller protests.

Lots of dogs at the #HandsOff protest march in #Tigard, Oregon. But as far as I know, our pups were the only German Shepherds. They kept an eye out for evildoers but found none in Tigard -- just a lot of nice people trying to save democracy. #dogsagainstdoge

That teacher in Idaho took the “everyone is welcome here” sign, thought about it, and reinstated it. We could reinstate general education faculty designed. DEI programs that benefit all. anything you closed when you weren’t sure how to interpret some demand. You can take it back.

OK, a roundup response to the "they won't follow the court orders" people. First of all, you're wrong! The administration *is* following many of the court orders. What's more, they're showing their understanding of the validity of court orders by seeking stays pending appeal when they lose.
