Final attempt at this franken #sewing mock-up! I thought about finishing it with lining & trim but this thrift fabric is terrible for anything but practice. I can see to make the crisscross front work that the shoulder seam needs to come up so now I'm ready to proceed on a knit orange #sewsky 😁🎃🖤💪🏻

Me frowning at this terrible ivory thrift fabric that I use for practice. I thought I could finish this mockup as a nice blouse but the material is too crappy! But the important thing is seeing how this basted crisscross bust pattern needs to come up at the shoulders in order to lie flat. Now I can try it on a better orange fabric and ultimately make more. Part Simplicity 2587 franken patterned with my own drafted nightgown copy, which was actually for the back and you can't see that where I didn't need to take out any princess seam dart excess because the pattern was correct!

Felt good & wore my thrift orange sweater & bat jewelry today for a trip to the new Ollie's which was a total SCORE with Joann Fabric bolts! Hoard, #sewsky! 🛒💪🏻😁

Wore a black dress with a thrift orange sweater and bat jewelry to the amazing new Ollie's where I got fancy Joann Fabric closeout bolts of fabric. The thrift store down the street yielded another bag of goodies and behind me there's a decent draft on my dressform but you can't see that.

75F in Fall be damned! Wore my me-made polka dress with a thrift black sweater today, me-made orange bling & a pumpkin brooch. However twas my vintage shoes that got the compliments! Bought them several years ago to replace other worn out oxfords but the torti cat interfered with the shoe pics! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🎃

$What are those colorful rings around the Sun? A corona visible only to Earth observers in the right place at the right time. Rings like this will sometimes appear when the Sun or Moon is seen through thin clouds. The effect is created by the quantum mechanical diffraction of light around individual, similarly-sized water droplets in an intervening but mostly-transparent cloud. Since light of different colors has different wavelengths, each color diffracts differently. Solar Coronae are one of the few quantum color effects that can be easily seen with the unaided eye. This type of solar corona is a visual effect due to water in Earth's atmosphere and is altogether different from the solar corona that exists continually around the Sun -- and stands out during a total solar eclipse.
