@ai6yr to be honest I was driving on a road cunningly named lava tube road and I saw maybe 15 normal cars and I only then started to put two and two together. There may be others out there, but there are definitely a lava tubes here: 35.21626, -115.75165

Oh… also there were lava tubes, boring humdrum lava tubes. Until someone invents #lavatubes on the air, I don’t think they’re worth the trip to the middle of the Mojave.

Summits on the air weekend didn’t result in many points but I did manage to activate some memorable ones. Kelso dunes is a series of sand dunes in the Mojave natl preserve. Only 1.5 miles and 600 ft up but one of the most strenuous hikes I’ve ever done.
