Taken in 1936 in Gdynia-Orłowo, the photograph shows Mira Lederowna, Maks Brandt, Fira Melamedzon, and Madzia Einstein on the beach in 1936. Fira Melamedzon collected over 1,000 photographs illustrating Polish-Jewish life before the Second World War. The collection is documented in Fira: The Jews of Poznań. Today would be Gad Beck's 102th birthday. He was born #OTD in 1923, as a second child of a mixed couple. His twin sister Miriam preceded him. He was one of the few queer voices from the Holocaust; undaunted and resource resistance fighter; and a story teller per excellence.

Exit-Polls der ersten Runde der polnischen Präsidentschaftswahlen. Gewaltige rechte Gesamtstimmlage. Der liberalkonservative Trzaskowski am Ende nur ganz knapp vor dem PiS-Kandidaten Nawrocki. Extreme Rechte (Mentzen u. Braun) zusammen mit über 20%. Düstere Aussichten für die Stichwahl in 2 Wochen.

Während in Berlin von Tempo 30 auf Tempo 50 erhöht wird, Radwege gekürzt und keine wirklichen autofreie Räume entstehen, haben gestern rund 65% der Menschen in Paris dafür gestimmt, dass Straßen zu Fußgängerzonen oder Parks werden. Glückwunsch nach Paris für diese Wahl!
