I've just shared some Electrum Bonus Content for our book "Dark Side of the Moon": a mix of apocryphal odds and ends we couldn't quite fit in the first time around, plus our art direction briefs, sketches and chats with cover artist John Sumrow and visionary genius Katrin Dirim.

Hunt for the Molochian Minotaurs at the Tusked Trenches. The Heroine Glory Seeker claims her bounty, breaking the bale Behemoth by brutalizing its bulky body and taking its horned head rightly with a stylish execution, preserving its cranium in pristine condition. By @nathanandersonart.bsky.social

Incarnating the rage of a ravenous reaver, the Glory Seeker invokes the pankrationist virtues of Behemoth Slayers and inverted the position of prey and hunter while running through the tusked trenches, shifting from being chased by one of these Molochian Taurine Demons to being the chaser, performing elaborate acrobatic maneuvers to lose her raging pursuer before it could realize she was already on its trail. Proceeding to turn this hunt into an improvised gladiatorial duel, complete with a stage and audience, being both her fellow Slayers of the Butcher’s Company and the brethren of this bale brute.

The Molochian Behemoth by leading its horned charge to demolish a wall of the Tusked Trenches, carving a path towards Moloch's Citadel during the siege with her fellow Slayers, competing with the Conquering Chimeras that were advancing from the other cardinal direction, seeking to obtain the treasured Mystic Crucible Forges first. After baiting the beast to rush blindly at her, she rode on top of its back, strangling it with her legs, leaving a trail of devastation that trampled the shifting and fleshy labyrinthine trenches. Ending their rodeo at a wide rotunda after bursting through the immense gates of the bastion, dismounting the Behemoth and taking a deceptively defensive battle stance.
The infernal bovine bellowed beastly, conjuring the flames of the forges they were sworn to defend with their existence. Blinded briefly by its own crackling plasma clasped in its clutches, the taurine Demon had its horn broken by the agile swing of a wrecking war hammer that flew by the bursting flare. The weapon melted from the heat of the hell fire, but it broke both its horn and the focus of the fiend, being discarded by the Huntress once it accomplished its goal. Immediately, shattering the tip of the horn was grabbed by the Zathán warrior then stabbed with precision on the meaty thigh of the minotaur. Right above the knee as well.

Afterwards, she lost no time in breaking down the beast further, kicking over the stabbed horn to penetrate deeper and force the Demon to kneel. There, Gloriosa grappled the beast by its other horn, twisting on a paralyzing lock, opting to make a spectacle out of this kill. Lifting her golden head-hunting axe slowly, held on the other hand, patiently breaking the minotaur’s vertebra one by one as if charging power for her finishing cleave, smiling sadistically. By the time the weight of the axe cleaved through the fiend’s flesh, the Sentinel Renkora was guiding their troop across the path that cut through the tusked trenches into the wrecked entrance of the bastion, where they beheld the warrior Gloriosa feasting on the burning flesh of the Molochian Behemoth that had been terrorizing Vuglozer’s men for weeks. Its head, missing a horn, hangs by Praetoria’s belt on a meathook. Her axe now drenched in the flaming green blood, still burning. She consumed its liver and heart, absorbing the cholera and taming the baneful fire.

Blinded briefly by its own crackling plasma clasped in its clutches, the Demon had its broken horn stabbed above the knee of the huntress grappling its remaining horn in a twisting lock, forcing it to kneel and present its neck for beheading as she lifted her axe.

Heavier than your soul, you torments and burdens all combined.
If you wanna boil your blood, I can teach you a trick or two.
Heed the carrion's call and join the Cavalry! Carnal Cavalry!
So you want to take the day off and give the Hunt a good rest?
I won’t let you leave this fort, my authority I shall now enforce.
Heed the clarion cry, the harrowing carrion call!

Praetoria knew to heart the story of the Tusked Trenches, which was told by his mentor Igorot and retold by Hieronymus; later on read from more detailed old chronicling scrolls. Not a Berelithian Ruin, nor is it a Witch-summoned demonic edification. Formed from the festering corpse of the tyrannical Behemoth Moloch. Its titanic carcass hosted the hellish spawn of the tremor maker. Taurine Chimeras, beastly berserkers that inherited the appetite, wrath and cunning of their spawner. All Taurine Behemoths of the Dismal Lands stampede in a ritualistic migration to the resting place of this burial ground. What became of the harvested remains of Moloch eroded into the Tusked Trenches. That which could not be consumed by the Hunting Guilds crept into the soil, mutating it as it fermented with every passing season, alchemically altering the properties of the ground and absorbing the vitality of the Ancient Colossal Demon.

The dry cracks in the crusting desert soil sprouted fangs, molars and teeth of all kinds; in its majority “tusks”, protruding from every surface of the labyrinthian grottos which were continuously shifting, readjusting and reconfiguring. The entrails of Moloch transformed into mutating pathways, as the very halls could masticate any Demon that ventured through them, as that was the gift as trial for its spawn.

The voracious will of Moloch remained, its appetite for sacrifices manifesting by masticating any creatures trespassing through its toothed trenches to sustain itself.
