A week until our final session before the summer break! ✝️Irish Gothic 🗣️Lucy O'Hora 📅18th June 🕕 6pm BST ⚠️Trigger Warning Lucy will discuss how contemporary Irish Gothic fiction reconfigures the Gothic heroine through the historical legacy of the Magdalene Laundries. DM to join!

A dark, gothic‑themed event poster showing a cracked stone statue of a hooded, veiled figure in the foreground. Behind it are two Celtic crosses in a misty graveyard, with the ruins of a castle fading into fog under a cloudy green‑grey sky. Thick red liquid drips from the top edge of the poster. The text reads: “GOTHICA Presents Irish Gothic, Lucy O’Hora. Purity. Shame. Memory. Zoom, Thursday 18th June (6.00pm–7.30pm BST). Email or tweet for link: @GOTHICA_UOB, UOBGOTHICA@GMAIL.COM.
