Look. I have a flock and a degree in poultry science. I love to get people excited about keeping chickens. I also have seen the average person's grasp of farm biosecurity and can say withiut a doubt that everyone in the US getting chickens is going to make the avian flu epidemic much, much worse.

My #1 travel tip: find the public library. There is one in every city, town and suburb. They always have a clean public bathroom, a drinking fountain, wi-fi, computers and printers. You can hang out when you have awkward amounts of time and often they will give great restaurant recomendations.
