I am so hyped that we managed to contain news of a new dimension in both games successfully for so long. It still feels crazy to be able to say “Sift” and not the codename we drilled into people. Much of the extended Dungeons team didn’t even know it was a codename, it was so secret. 🤫

Spending half of my life dedicated to making cool new content for a new Minecraft dimension has given me such an appreciation for how cool and original The Sift is. Really excited for Dungeons II and to see how The Sift comes together in Vanilla! It feels like The Aether's cousin 😄🩵

Also I know its apparently how it was shown in theatres originally but I feel they missed a mark not showing the full frame version of the movie. The 16:9 crop often makes for a difficult watch on close ups. Enjoyed seeing it on the big screen finally but felt way more compromised than Idve liked

Also idk if it was my specific cinema but the 86 movie looked blurry and hard to read throughout the showing and had noticeably poor audio mixing and quality I feel my 30th anniversary bluray looks and sounds cleaner Love the film, its a dumb insane and very fun bit of nonsense, but yeah not great

Optimus Prime Awakening was a visually beautiful, but largely vapid and confused, epilogue to The Transformers The Movie Obvs no one knew it would be a send off for Peter Cullen as Optimus but good lord the message of the short could not have been more antithetical to the spirit of the character

Actual gameplay wise, especially with the improved gyro of the Switch 2 Joycons, the games are actually very fun to play. I especially enjoy Badminton and Golf.

Its got a pretty limited selection of sports with a lot of mechanical overlap between Tennis, Badminton, and Volleyball so it can feel a bit bare bones in the roster of stuff to play but yeah Good for local multiplayer or if you want to grind online lobbies, not good for singleplayer or progression

If you just want local multiplayer of the sports included in the game and no progression or extra modes its like *fine* the main problem is all the progression and unlocks are tied to online multiplayer and also done through a time limited randomised rewards system

Decided to go back and try Nintendo Switch Sports again after Resort got me quite excited. Wanted to see if its as bad as I remember or if patches and fresh eyes would improve it. Nope! Game still sucks ass!

Sony, as is tradition, absolutely finding every possible bridge to burn and thing to fuck up following a successful console generation. I can't wait for the PS6 to be an absolute omnishambles and for the PS7 to return to "oh we're so humble and pro-consumer" Actual clown show.

Xbox looks to be trying and largely failing to recover from a huge slump while Sony seems to be actively sabotaging its entire business structure and mass appeal. It is so utterly bizarre to see but in the end both are products of growth chasing capitalist mindsets being completely destructive.

The asshole in me wants to be cynical about the Ocarina of Time remake but I simply cannot. I think it looks wonderful. All the children look creepy af but otherwise it looks like a delightful way to revisit a classic in the same way Star Fox was an excellent way to enjoy 64. Quite excited.

Ground Zeroes really set up a false expectation for The Phantom Pain. TPP ended up being all the worst bits of PW cranked up to 11 without the interesting level design or bosses, whereas GZ showed a vision for a modern infiltration title in a way I really enjoyed. Super frustrating.

Not only is it actually super easy to harness train a cat, its such a lovely opportunity to bond with them and see their changes in behaviour in different environments. Highly recommend to any new cat owners.

Astral Chain at higher resolution and 60fps would genuinely instantly become one of the best action games ever made. Its already excellent but the 30fps cap and LOW render resolution really hold it back. Cmon Nintendo and Platinumgames be coooool

Its almost like the stress of intense stuff like explosions or giant robots kicking stuff makes your ability to process motion get worse. The new port means that is no longer the case and on a technical level the game is absolutely better for it, but it does feel like something *unique* was lost.

Wild playing the South America Marketplace Gecko encounter in MGS4 without the fps entering single digits. Im grateful to have a version without the performance issues but its also made me realise how much the framerate dying when an explosion happens is actually part of the original experience haha

Had a girls night with my friends, watching the Mamma Mia! films for the first time and eating sushi! Felt good to just immerse in some feminine energy for once. Living with two men can be such a drag sometimes. Loved just sitting back and enjoying some fun musicals and good food with the gals!

Yeah I feel after Ghost Babel came with Vol.2 and the NES games with Vol.1 they surely HAVE to have a Vol.3 in mind for the remaining *more premium* spin-offs. My expectation would be MGR and Portable Ops as the main games then Ac!d 1 and 2 as the "bonus content"

True, there are many titles left Id still like to see get modern ports. Metal Gear Ac!d, Portable Ops, and Metal Gear Rising are all stuck on older platforms (except Rising which has 360 back compat on modern Xbox's and a PC version, but is still unavailable on modern PlayStations)

MGS4 is such a strange and compelling mess of ideas and execution and I love it for it. I think it's easily one of the *most* videogames in ways I feel we as an industry have largely forgotten how to create. It just takes some ridiculous swings and does not care whether they hit or miss. Its dope!

Yeah I found it much more a pro-trans allegory, in a way that genuinely impacted me a fair bit more than I expected from the latest Marvel movie. There being something "special"/different that you may want to suppress to *carry on easier* but eventually accept and become better for it is very 🏳️‍⚧️
