It's not really any huge news that content moderation is not perfect, especially when a new rule is made. But this isn't just a hall monitoring of content moderation story; it's a Meta glasses story. Just what, exactly, is Meta supposed to do when the most popular use of its glasses is "bad"?

One of the most curious things about the Kylie Jenner designed Meta glasess is that she has not been seen wearing them in public. She HAS worn regular sunglasses to the World Cup and used an old point and shoot camera at the Knicks game, however www.businessinsider.com/meta-glasses...

Kylie Jenner debuted her new Meta glasse. The backlash shows how controversial the tech is.
Meta sold at least 7 million of its glasses last year, and Kylie Jenner debuted a new pair she designed. The backlash shows they're controversial.

I have this idea for a game show called Less Online, where the more online spouse/partner tries to explain something to their less online partner and they are racing against another couple to see who gets it first. (this morning I tried to explain the grink to my husband)

A hilarious and inevitable new phase of capitalism is that Facebook Marketplace sellers have discovered that adding in AI-generated hot babes into their listings will get more views. sales,https://www.businessinsider.com/facebook-marketplace-ads-ai-women-sex-sells-2026-6

'Sex sells' isn't a new concept. AI-generated women attached to random Facebook Marketplace ads is.
Sellers are adding AI-generated babes to listings for cars, boats, and more to draw attention. It's a new spin on the old adage of "sex sells."

I *think* NY courts are somewhat unique in that there's a strict no-computers/phones policy unless you have that press pass (I am not 100% sure here, I think CA courts let non-credentialed press bring in phones?). Not sure what my thinking is here, but I guess like, it's a weird situyation

Connecticut libraries don’t actually own many of their e-books. It gets pricey.
Connecticut libraries are licensing e-books instead of owning them, driving up long-term costs and straining budgets.
