Welp, a 2nd grader clocked my shit today. When the kids are in line and it moves without them b/c they’re not paying attention, I’ll always call out, “LOOK ALIVE, SUNSHINE!” because of MCR. One little girl gave me such a bright smile when she heard me today and exclaimed, “Dr. Death!”

Dang. I just saw a how-to cross my timeline for making Halloween treats that look like Sandworms, and that’s awesome, because I friggin’ love Beetlejuice…but I seriously thought they were making morgue body bags from dinner rolls and was delighted.

WELP. Kiddos got up at 3:30 and decided they were up for the day…which meant I got to be up, too. At least when I told them to get dressed, they scampered off readily…. And Oldest tried to wear the pajamas his significantly shorter younger brother just took off…only now inside-out.

Coffee trucks really should be more of a thing—but not like a food truck. Like ice cream trucks, driving around town, providing hot, delicious caffeination. Instead of "Pop Goes the Weasel," or “The Entertainer,” they would blare "Ride of the Valkyries," through the megaphones.

Youngest is pretty much the world’s greatest hype man, and, as such, LOVED doing cheer at summer school. We signed him up to do cheer this week and perform at the high school football game on Friday. At sign up, there was a place to list “shirt and skirt” sizes.
