iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

It’s fine (kinda). One of those things where you already know but seeing it in black and white makes you realise you know, you know? 😆 (I’m good, it’s good that it landed lol)

*segues into a flashback of every relationship she’s ever had* 🙃

Whaaat? 😱 well now I feel like I missed out!

(I loved all manner of optical illusions as a kid, still do, but magic eye.. well it's still magic tbh)

Now what kind of person would spend like an hour every day in W H Smiths staring at the magic eye posters on the way to/from school and delight in laughing at her friends who couldn't figure out how to see them 😅

Excuse me but why are people posting my childhood on the internet?

Welp, I edited my post down to make it fit and managed to delete the part where I said I'm in England. This is why I shouldn't post post-meds. Anyhoooo

If there's ever anything you need from over here do let me know. I know you have people over here who can go look things up and such (like the research that wasn't online for your video on that awful Rowling documentary, for e.g.) - but in case there's anything regional (I'm south east), hit me up 🤙

Every video I watch I am floored by the depth to which you (and your researchers) go. So, so very good 👏

So proud of my mum and her progress with her audhd. She's really worked hard on figuring herself out and hasn't had a spiral or a meltdown in months now, and it used to be an almost daily occurrence. She echoed back to me some of the things we've talked about the other day when she felt stressed 😊

I remember thinking I don't want to create a native app so I'll make a progressive web app, and I remember thinking I need to make it secure but I can't expect a 5yo to remember a long secure password so I'll make a magic link feature with a simple password he can bookmark and just click on.

Funny how it came back to me. The last thing I remember was trying to decide whether to make it in Rails+Hotwire or Go+Nuxt so I was sitting here thinking.. what on earth was I thinking of using Go for? 🤔 then *dingdingding*

Oh hey it came back and I remembered what it was! Long story short, my kids are far enough apart in age that my 5yo is essentially an only child, and he loves his siblings to death, and I had the idea of creating a private social network (of sorts) for all of us to post on that he can join in with.

God damnit I dreamed a brilliant idea last night, it woke me up in the middle of the night, and I can't for the life of me remember what it was now 😅

Sometimes it be like it do. ADHD life 😬

Yeaaah that's where I've mostly been the last few days. Sometimes you just gotta turn off /all/ the distractions and preserve the modicum of ability to focus you have left 🙃

I watched this last night - I did leave a comment, but I just wanna reiterate.. don't beat yourself up - what we've done isn't as important as what we do going forward. When you started tearing up I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big ol' hug and tell you it's ok 🫶

Confiscating my own phone and going to sleep now before I post myself into a mood 😅

I’m good most of the time and getting much better at being alone without being lonely but some nights are just oof I want hugs and that’s all there is to it 🙃

I'm already smitten, and I just got back into listening to podcasts again (being worn out finally wore off), so I shall 🤩

Disappointed that nobody has introduced me to @caelan.bsky.social before and now I have to get addicted all on my own.

Not only hilarious but a really (really) good analysis of AI generated text.

I've re-read it like 794 times in the past 10 minutes and I still can't.

There really isn't, not even a single even with which to even.

Kat is ✨phenomena✨ @kathryndeplume.com · 30/09/2026

I'm just like.. I haven't touched ChatGPT, Claude, or any other AI tool in.. god, months at this point. Everything's better without it. You should try it. Being human and doing human things is awesome.

The UK's AI minister just made a big and important admission on AI & copyright, which creatives around the country will celebrate: "It is currently illegal to develop a frontier large language model based on the transformer architecture given the copyright position that we have in this country”.

Thought I'd be a smartass and told my Dad to piss off in French earlier, forgetting he speaks as much French as I do (which isn't much, but enough to understand that) 🤦🏼‍♀️

And here's the thing: you are 100% as good as you are right now, but you will never be 100% as good as it's possible to be, so the whole thing is redundant. Do you really want me to compare you to people who arbitrarily chose higher numbers than you to represent something unquantifiable?

Also, devs, I'm begging you.. stop using progress bars to represent your skill levels, because while you might think it's cute and humble to have them at < 100%, what you're actually telling me is that there's someone out there better than you.

If I see one more portfolio that talks about "digital experiences" or describes themselves as a "storyteller" I might scream.
