I came to Bristol 18 years ago through Parkway and now I'm leaving Bristol through the same train station. So my adventure living in Bristol has come full circle. It isn't good bye, I'll be back to visit not so long in the future. I'm just off to Manchester to have new adventures in the day to day.

Proud of my Green Party colleagues in Wales for the health section of our manifesto for the Senedd elections. Making it clear that health outcomes should take centre stage in the NHS. And of course, the BBC is leading with making out that medication for young trans people is controversial.
Part of a BBC article on the Green Party's manifesto for the Senedd
Health: Access to puberty blockers for under-17s
By Jenny Rees
Wales health correspondent
There are some bold - and controversial - ambitions for healthcare in the party's manifesto, including youth gender services and access to puberty blockers.

These drugs are currently banned in the UK after the 2024 Cass review, with trials paused over safety concerns.

The party wants NHS Wales to issue its own guidance, marking a significant change from following NHS England.

A wider focus is on prevention, alongside promises of more funding and better GP and dental access.

They also propose endometriosis centres in every health board, addressing a major gap in care.

However, let's not deny the huge undertaking it presents given limited current services and resources - although it's unclear how these proposals will be funded.

Because Bluesky is silly and brakes links when you're blocked, this is what I was responding to. Also, she blocked me right after my post. Running away from the tiniest bit of criticism isn't what I would consider to be the best way to do politics.
Reply by Rebecca Jones to sex matters being at the LibDem conference.
This was an event held by an external, and unofficial group made up of some members of the party.

We didn't platform anyone.

From the LibDem conference agenda. I think LibDems might have their own definition of platforming. I would have more respect if they tried justifying hosting well known transphobes at their conference, instead of lying to our faces.

Liberal Voice for Women Sex, Equality and the Law Last April the Supreme Court clarified the meaning of ‘woman’ in the Equality Act. Nearly one year on, has anyone listened? This panel will cut through the dithering and flanelling by the Labour government and discuss why the judgment matters and what organisations should do. With Susan Smith (For Women Scotland), Akua Reindorf KC and Maya Forstater (Sex Matters). Novotel, Meeting Room 1&2

A few hours later, Brianna Wu showing why none of us should trust her. Doubling down on her transmedicalism and continuing to be a shill for Israel. I'm for people changing and trying to repair the damage they've done, but a faux apology where they don't recognise any harm they've done, ain't it.
Screenshot of Brianna Wu's tweet:
I’m not anyone’s bitch, to be clear.

Not the TERFs. But not the trans extreme either.

I’m not here to grovel and I’m not here to deal with abuse. I’m not going to deal with people with clinical neurosis, taking it out on me.

I also am not going to lie about my beliefs. These include
✅ Non-binary people are not transsexual. Their political project to conflate themselves with us has been disastrous for our rights.
✅ I am transmedicalist. I do believe in standards for transitions with clinicians.
✅ Detransitioners are a political problem. Since almost all are natal girls, we need to seriously figure out why the number of women who want to try to live as men skyrocketed.
✅ The hostile way we behave is making us politically radioactive.

But I also see that tying to find middle ground with TERFs doesn’t work. They want to eliminate us from society.

Trying to find a middle ground doesn’t seem to help with media either. Because it just feeds a narrative that the trans rights movement has gone too far. They are incapable of asking if TERFs have gone too far.

I literally have no idea what to do.Brianna Wu quote tweet:
There is a dark political project that has infiltrated the Democratic Party to expel Jews from public life.
This is a horrific example of it.
Decent people must stand up against this.

The EHRC is making trans people afraid to live a public life through segregation. The suffragettes and the black civil rights movement included property damage in its direct action. Be on the right side of history by recognising the harm being done instead of hand-wringing over a smash window.

The House of Lords should have been abolished generations ago. It shouldn't have a place in today's society. The Green Party is very clear on this. While we're sending people to the lords, they should not be afraid to be disruptive to achieve our goals. So I'm standing for the Green's Lords List

The only way to fight back against the far right is to reject bigotry and offer the real solutions to people's problems. The Green Party needs to be that force, so Ekua Bayunu and I are standing together to be the party’s Equality and Diversity Coordinators.
