It sounds weird, but I learned last night that I don't want to be a professional writer as a career. I want writing to be a hobby and passion, like video games. There's definitely a lot less stress associated with it when it's just something to do for fun, after all.

Also please try and unlearn all the bullshit other social medias have taught you. On Bluesky you can talk about your art, use hashtags, talk to users, add links to your posts and say the word "commission" or others without self censoring. None of these arbitrary rules exist here!

every change that causes a new Twitter exodus seems to have one thing in common: making it more toxic Bluesky isn’t perfect, but it really is a nicer place to be, and the best thing we can do for all of us is keep it that way there aren’t any specific rules here - but, if you can, be kind

Being on Blue Sky feels like entering a new house. It's still pretty bare and needs a lot of work, but the process of settling in is still rather exciting. Plus, I get to slowly meet other artists on the move too!

Hey Skyfolks! Just a reminder: there is no algorithm on Bsky, so us artists and creators rely heavily on RTs to get our work out there. If you see a post from an artist or creator that you like, please RT generously! It helps us a lot ❤️ Thank you!

Hello new Twitter folk. Hope you enjoy your time here on Bluesky. If you are going to share images on here I ask that you navigate to Bluesky’s accessibility settings and activate “Require alt text before posting”. Let’s all do our part for accessibility.

Another tip for newbies: You can bookmark a post by commenting on it with a 📌. Once you've done that, it will appear in your "my pins" feed (link below). These are only visible to you. (Also I mute the emoji so I don't have to see it every time someone pins something!) bsky.app/profile/did:...

Intro tweet time! Hello, you can call me Botato. I’m someone who had an interest of joining bluesky for a while but couldn’t find a code. Anyways, I’m a writer who was also co-head of narrative for a vtuber fangame called “Light the Way”! Please do check it out if you’re interested 💙

Block and move on. Block and move on. Block on a whim, Block weird replies. We are not here to "win" the internet, we are here to read cool posts from experts and artists we would never ordinarily be able to interact with, and occasionally promote our own cool stuff to like-minded weirdos.

To the inevitable flood of incoming new users: 1) Be a decent human being 2) Trans women are women, trans men are men, nonbinary people are valid 3) Block immediately and whenever you need to 4) If you're not decent to others, you will get reported and blocked yourself

Bluesky is officially “open” now (no more invites). So just a reminder to not engage with trolls and bad actors, there is no algorithm here to promote or spread them, replying to them is what puts them on everybody’s timelines. So block and give no oxygen.
