Sadly the new show is rubbish. I watched a bit at the start as I was hoping for chaos with Micallef and Brett Blake in the same studio. The bits I saw did not have that. :(

Fairly sure that was one of the shows I went to as part of the studio audience. Went to a lot of ABC filming in the 90s, was a fun and cheap night out.

Ouch. :( And has made me realise when lovely neighbour moves out, the new people who move in may use smelly laundry stuff. The way our apartment block is set up means their laundry is under our bathroom, and the strong perfume can come in the grill in the bathroom window.

Have seen other articles talking about starving bats, so I wonder if people are trying to rescue them and don't have the knowledge to stay away? Only those trained to deal with bats should be handling them.

A lovely swim in the river this morning. Water was perfect once you were in. Could happily have floated for hours, but don't like being in the sun in the middle of the day.

River scene.

You can make out two heads on the water where people are swimming.
The pylons supporting the nets are behind them.

Congrats to Ms 17 and all the best for the upcoming exams. Signed a parent of an 18 year old starting final school exams this week. My child went the shaggy sheep hair look and ignored the school rules that way. Four more weeks.

I love both. Growing up this river wasn't somewhere we'd really go to, lots of industry along it, smelly and toxic. Now those places are nearly all gone in my area (replaced by apartments), the water is much better quality and it is lovely to sit nearby or walk along it.
