Perhaps as a consequence of attending a British comprehensive school in the 1990s (hot buildings) I don’t really think I should have to do any work when it’s over 22degrees C outside.

I don’t really know how to use Bluesky I’ll be honest, but I did realise it felt the most suitable platform to register my appreciation for the North East England phrase for “make believe” or “made up”: “Makey on” It DOES something.

A woman sits on a stool against a dark background. She is visible from the knees up. She has red hair with a blonde full fringe and is wearing a dress with an owl print on it. She is also wearing a sequin jacket that comes to the elbows. She is looking off to the right and slightly smiling. The Tyne Bridge is pictured in the centre of the frame over a still, reflective River Tyne in Newcastle, UK. Either side of the bridge are buildings with a warmer glow as the sun rises. The words Northern Voices in white lettering feature in the bottom centre of the image.
