Hazbin Hotel ironically does a better job at telling "The Christian message" than actual Christian shows. The entire point is that we're all sinful, but you have the chance to redeem yourself and be a better person. Meanwhile actual Christian shows preach "Anyone who isn't Christian is sinful".

Read it out loud! Then read it out loud with someone you trust. Hearing the voices outside of your head is crucial. Mimic accents as best you can. Get on your feet, act out certain moments if you are stuck with physicality.

I'd like to think I am good at descriptors. I also take pains to make sure that the voice is as accurate to the character I am writing for, it helps that all the characters I write for are performed by damn good artists. I just like writing love letters / character analysis for characters I love.
