Because the new COVID vaccine is out and someone asked me for a reminder: it's 50mg diphenhydramine 15m before the shot or 20mg cetirizine 2-3 hours before (if you have MCAS add an extra 20mg famotidine + 10mg montelukast (if taking) when you take the others) to avoid feeling like death

Alas, it is not that easy if you have any of the alphabet soup of things I've got, let alone all of them. Hypermobility and POTS both benefit from electrolytes, bc weird connective tissue is weird. MCAS benefits from a histamine friendly diet. And both MCAS and POTS are common flavours of long COVID

I read this and then went into the garden and planted the tray of seedlings that survived the weekend's big weather event, and then loved on the rest of my seedlings, too. We recently moved and I did not think I would have the spoons to garden at all; the chaos is chaotic and I love it (yours, too)

True story: corvid feather nibs (cut myself, badly) were my favourite in high school. If you can afford a fancy nib, Sailor PGS EF (14k gold) is a very nice nib and comes close enough to that experience for my everyday purposes. There is variation b/w the nibs: some cut like swords, which, 💖

There are some pens with lefty nibs that might benefit your writing style; I think Lamy is one? Other lefty friends like Fude nibs but I very strongly don't: they write too wide and too smooth and I need the feedback My favourite EFs are Sailor, Platinum, Lamy, Kaweco Sport

I think it depends how you write? I'm a lefty underwriter; I rotate my pages almost 90 degrees clockwise so I don't get ink tracks. And I love all of my fountain pens and inks - thought I'd stay with EFs but I was so surprised to find some B nibs that also work for me

I wish I'd had an experience like yours! Both P and E made my life significantly worse (more hypermobile pain, worse sensory processing, constantly in meltdown) and 6+ months later I'm still recovering from that experience. I know I'm not the only one; I wish there was more research on that, too
