I feel it's important to share this again. The internet is so hostile toward creators nowadays. I've seen people have their work stolen, and no longer feel comfortable sharing their creations. We can do better. Let's be supportive to the people that make this a better place! 💞

Eighth batch of shinies, the Spearow line! I wasn't quite sure where I was going with this one either, but neon green and silver looks great together. #spriteart #pokemon #fanmadesprites

Seventh batch of shinies, the Ratatta lines! Realizing a little too late that Raticate would barely be distinguishable with this shade of brown... but they look so cute with (closer to) normal rat colors. #spriteart #pokemon #fanmadesprites

Sixth batch of shinies, the Pidgey line! Not so sure what I was thinking with this color swap... but the green w/flaming pink Mega plume goes kinda hard ngl #spriteart #pokemon #fanmadesprites

Please, take care of your trans friends and be there for them, because it's obvious nobody else gives a fuck about us if they can't even stop watching the stupid wizard kid show and giving money to someone who wants us dead

authenticity and real love is infectious and gets people interested to know what else exists tangentially because they want more of it. hell I get people who followed me for one fandom into another fandom because of my hyperfixations as much as my original work.

Fifth batch of shinies, the Weedle line! I really love these shinies normally, but these color swaps look really cool to me. I mean... they should- I made them. #spriteart #pokemon #fanmadesprites

Third batch of shinies! The Squirtle line. Another set of shinies I have no qualms with, but still wanted to make them match a little more. #spriteart #pokemon #fanmadesprites

You have to care about kids who aren't "yours." You live in a society, and that society extends to children. You have to fight for trans kids, even if your child isn't trans. You have to care about vaccinations and disability even if you're childless. They aren't property.

Rent-lowering gunshot at 3k: Creative expression comes in all kinds of forms, be it monoship, multiship, yumeship, self-insert, fixed dynamic, switch, whatever. You are not entitled to art that is made for you. Learning to take yourself out of uncomfortable situations is on YOU and not the creator.

We gotta make it socially embarrassing to use AI detectors. It just feeds people's work into AI to have the machines that can't spell strawberry guess if it's AI.

A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.

[quoting a tweet from isabelunraveled in which she rails against depressing books that get branded as “great writing”]

It’s so frustrating to see every creative industry in shambles right now because it’s not for lack of shows, movies, games, books, comics, etc making money. People are hungry for human made art! The greed of others is killing our creative careers.

since this will always be circulating, i might as well be the first one to put it here: the stretch tips i made many years ago… remember to stop and stretch and take care of your hands! be mindful of your work time & listen to your body.

a bunch of drawn diagrams of hand stretches. the text at the top reads MAKE TIME TO STRETCH!

it shows wrist extensions and flexions, with the arm straight out and hand palm out with the hand gently stretched up and down. the same stretches with the hand in a fist. the same stretch but with the palm against a wall. a stretch of pressing your palms together with wrists parallel to the ground and slowly lowering the heels of the palms. and a gentle shaking out of the hands.

2026. I will draw, even if it’s bad. I will draw, even if it’s challenging. I will draw, even if it’s been done before. I will draw, even if it’s imperfect. I will draw, even if someone else is better. I will draw, even if I have much to learn. I will draw because it’s fun. Because I’m human.
