The Bicentennial celebration was epic & lasted all summer of 1976. 50 covered calistoga wagons traveled across the country, joining parades as they went, camping at night & cosplaying pioneers. My sister & I got to spend 3 glorious days & nights with the Washington state wagon as it crossed Idaho.

I had to go out in this rain storm and sweep and vinegar rinse my porch and steps because they were accumulating green slippery slime that happens after a few weeks of such weather. For the record, it was much more pleasant than shoveling snow, so I'm cool with it.
