Fuck me. Working with the accessibility teams in my corner of the game dev community was literally the only truly fulfilling part of my job. Helping developers consider accessibility and building their games with it in mind from the ground up was a huge part of why I slept well at night.

When I was first getting to know her I felt like _something_ was slightly _off_ but I couldn't put my finger on it. I think I assumed weird homeschooling from hippies or something, but I NEVER would have guessed the reason.

I don't know much about MAGA but I do know this: There is no fuckin way Eric Schmitt feels "humiliated". They have no ability to feel that way. He will be angry and screaming and throwing a temper tantrum and taking it out on those closest to him, but humiliation ain't it.

I'm friends with someone who doesn't know her actual age because she was rescued as a feral toddler. Absolutely deadass. Wild shit. She's an amazing adult with a very happy life now, so it's okay.

Oof. In my experience, it's probably better to just let him watch it and not make a big deal about it. The more of a big deal we make of things, the more our kids want to get involved cause they like pushing boundaries. Not sure how old he is, but the complicated conversations can happen later.

At least I stuck around long enough at one of them (3 years! yippee!) before getting laid off to get some small severance.
