I know most of you guys don't go on the other app but the pope posted an anti AI/ pro artists statement yesterday, and the ensuing cope and memes is really funny

Pope Leo XIV
@Pontifex

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

2016: I will never fight a holy war

2019: Pope Leo I am ready launch me towards the nearest data center

some AI guy saying he makes christian children's books with AI asking the pope if that is ok then and someone posting a meme react with the pope holding a baseball bat saying 'did I stutter'

I've had the idea for the scene above for quite a while. Originally, I wanted to include such thought bubbles in the painting I made in February 2025. Maybe I'll paint a combined version one day. #OC #digitalart

A digital painting showing three of my Werewolf-Elf OCs.

Ria sits on the right, sharpening one of her daggers with a whetstone. Feng (left) and Lex (center) are sitting at a table next to her, dreamily gazing at her with hearts above their heads. Behind Ria, the pink background color fades into gray.

Decided to finish a painting that I had started in June. Here's Feng daydreaming about being all lovey-dovey with her pack leader. Enjoy. 💕🌈💕 #OC #digitalart

A digital painting, showing my character Feng as she's daydreaming about a romantic moment with Ria, the leader of my Werewolf-Elf pack. In that daydream, Feng is carrying Ria in her arms and nuzzling her left cheek while Ria has her arms wrapped around Feng's neck and caresses the area around her right ear.

This part is so infuriating, it made me toss a few coins even without being on FA. Tbf, I'm not on there because FA is too spicy for my taste... but 1) I won't impose my tastes on others, and 2) if the bar is so ridiculously low, NOTHING is safe anymore. I mean, come on... HUGS!?

I chose to present this overview using a set of assets that I commissioned from Alkahria / Kai Jagorah. Go check out her work: vgen.co/Alkahria/por... The set is based on my actual desk, including the big journal that I use for deep dives into worldbuilding.

I've assembled a new introduction to the project that is keeping me busy! Here's a summary of what my Werewolf-Elves need to deal with, on both the outside and inside. #writing #worldbuilding #fantasy

A digital collage that represents my desk. There is a computer keyboard in the upper left corner, a stack of colorful notebooks alluding to my characters, a "to do" list and a drawing, and a large journal into which I'm currently writing.

The journal contains an overview of my project with the working title "The Kingslayer Saga", and the "to do" list mentions a few goals I have for it. The drawing shows my Werewolf-Elves sitting around the campfire.

This overview contains custom assets that I bought from "Alkahria's Art Vault."

My plan - as much as I have one - is to focus on prose snippets this year. However, I do feel tempted to bring out the watercolor pencils... I'd love to see what my characters look like in that medium.

Traditional drawings of several objects and patterns that represent my Werewolf-Elf characters. Done with watercolor pencils.

Ah yes, it's #WerewolfWednesday again... May I interest you in some expression studies of my OCs? Werewolf-Elf hybrids inherit the ears from the mother's side. In Ria's case, we can be grateful that the ears show her emotions. For Lex, the ears don't matter - that guy has no poker face.

A digital painting showing various emotional expressions of one of my original characters. Ria has movable wolf ears that reveal her emotions while her lower face is hidden behind a mask.
