k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 12/09/2026 I know people fly in from all over the world for the Ed Fringe, but it’s got to help that so many people can take an affordable train up from London. I submit that a city with proximity to LA, NYC or Chicago is the right pick. 150
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Yes! I know some readers say if a plot‘s compelling they can ignore those unanswered word-building questions, but I didn’t feel like I understood what it MEANT for her to be a duke? A compelling premise but I think I’m just not able to enjoy an alternative history written that way. 010
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I could have sworn in the early days of PCHH @lindaholmes.bsky.social talked about guys with character actor skills but they kept getting cast as leading men because of their looks. Wish I could remember who it was! 120
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 09/09/2026If you're willing I'd love to hear more about that. I did finish it but The Duke didn't fully work for me in ways I'm still trying to articulate. 110
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I think so! The movie establishes the Coyote-Roadrunner relationship quickly, and most of the other cartoon characters have roles for the plot (like Foghorn Leghorn as the ACME CEO) that don‘t really rely on previous knowledge. 100
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Awesome; requested my library purchase it! Also need to tell you that this time every month I think about you posting “besties! your hoopla borrows!” as I check out more books. 111
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Was the zombie one by Olivia Dade? That book is great and has a sequel coming out this year, but if it‘s a different one I’d love to read it! 110
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 02/06/2026Fair point; meanwhile I’ll wish you luck getting a chance to live/eat at a myriad of hotels. If you wrote a piece about that maybe it could be a two-hander with @hels.bsky.social ? 010
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 02/06/2026Surely some publication would pay for you to embed with a group like this and write a piece about the experience! 140
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 05/05/2026Marie Antoinette and Evita get close, but those narratives aren’t very heavy on the “genius“ criteria. If you stay in politics does the Iron Lady count? 000

k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 30/04/2026In the new @ilonaandrews.bsky.social book a Texan is transported to the world from her favorite fantasy books and thinks well this is cool but I do miss H.E.B. orange juice. I’ve never been on previous visits to Texas but after reading that I‘m so motivated to fix my embarrassing mistake. 020
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 18/04/2026A different thing but you might like Alexis Hall’s Kate Kane books? Main character is a classic self-destructive noir detective but she’s a lesbian solving paranormal mysteries in London. Also big supporting cast of weirdos, like her terrible ex—Twilight style vampire who won’t leave high school. 1160
k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 16/04/2026The Graphic Audios are a lot of fun—the voice actors give great performances and the sound effects work particularly well for things like Nevada‘s magic ”pinging” when someone lies. I also don’t think much gets edited for time in the dramatized version which is nice. 010

k-levison.bsky.social @k-levison.bsky.social · 07/11/2025I just finished a bio of Desi Arnaz and learned they managed to air the episode of I Love Lucy where they have a baby the day Lucille Ball had her second child by C-Section—having holiday episodes air on the right week is a breeze by comparison!
