Penn State overhauled its DL group with supersized DTs to stop the run with light boxes. Then Northwestern pushed them around for 400 yards on the ground and a 61% rushing success rate. It was as bad as it sounds.

I have a perfectly centrist Penn State take: They really did have to split with James Franklin. Cmon. You know that. It's not tenable when the fanbase is gone. But they should have hired one of their first handful of targets and not missed signing day and been stuck importing a mid Big 12 team

Kamario Taylor has been ridiculously good this year. But I think Keelon Russell is better. Before the heavyweight fight on Saturday, I broke down the ways Russell makes Alabama's offense so scary.

Millions of reasons why I hate this (and most of real life right now), but everyone acting like they have no free will might make me the angriest. "We can't simply make MORE money, we have no choice but to make the MOST money even if we're screwing our future selves. It's out of our hands!"

Chip Kelly is at Northwestern; he's reached the "F it, let's get weird" stage of his career, and it's kind of beautiful. If Penn State isn't careful, this offense could have Matt Campbell 0-2 in Big Ten play.

Penn State has a lot of problems on offense right now, but the interior offensive line might be at the root of a lot of them.

A good preemptive reminder that, despite all the triumphant headlines you’ll see on Monday evening when the bill passes the Senate, no one knows if, how or when the House will vote on it.

Florida might be the best offense in college football, so I wanted to break down what makes Buster Faulkner such an elite play-caller. It comes down to pre-snap motion and creating numbers in the run game. fansided.com/college-foot...

Penn State isn't better without Koby Howard, but it's better equipped to lose its No. 1 WR than most teams in college football. I broke it down for Victory Bell Rings. victorybellrings.com/penn-state-i...

Taylor Mouser's system isn't built around a WR1, so it can live without it, at least for a bit.

Loved this pressure from Houston against Texas Tech. Manufacture the one-on-one with the RB and get the quick pressure on Will Hammond. Kenny Johnson just makes it not matter. Red Raiders skill players are its biggest separator this year.

Austin Simmons was throwing darts in the Border War on Friday night. Think it's pretty clear he only lost his job at Ole Miss because Trinidad Chambliss is that dude. And even with Beau Pribula's hot start at UVA, Mizzou upgraded at QB.

If you're not already on the Kamario Taylor bandwagon, you'd better get your ticket cause seats are filling up fast. 6'4", 230, and the ball JUMPS out of his hand. This Mississippi State team is going to jump up and bite somebody in the SEC this year.
