Finished the pointed collar today! The yellow ribbon, trim & pom poms are all from Michael's. Will probably remake this with a red linen. Temp horns will be painted tonight!

The scalloped ruffle bloomers were made using @firststopcosplay.bsky.social bloomers pattern as a base & ruffles were made w/ different strips of quilting cotton except for the blue layer. That is some god awful poly dupioni. These bloomers are the worst sewing I have done in a long time.

Last night I decided to make a leather slash & cut bodice belt instead of stays because of impending deadline. I used a free pattern from Weaver Leather & changed the petal shapes tp diamonds. Used my new-to-me PFAFF 78 to sew the leather!

Awhile back I tried to make the jester collar (Pattern by Lauravian on Etsy) & I fucked up by accidentally cutting through the binding. Depending on how I feel, I want to try and finish it today.

Working on the 2nd pair of pants for my husband's bday present. Sometimes black thread just works better than navy thread for navy fabric. 🤷‍♀️ Using the same pattern as the 1st pair. The fabric is a linen/rayon from Joann (RIP).

Spent most of yesterday assembling the sewing patterns I'll be using for Pietro. He is a huge mash-up of 3 different Mood Fabrics patterns. His too will be the Cassis Tiered Sleeve Top & Bayport Ruffled Blouse combined. Bottoms are the shorts from Naomi Sleep Set. Stays pattern from Red Threaded.

Pietro cosplay WIP thread! Hope to wear him to NorCal Ren Faire in October!

Pietro the ram from Animal Crossing. He is a rainbow clown-themes villager with teal striped curved horns, white clown faced make up with red mouth, round red clown nose, pink heart around the left eye, and blue teardrop under the right eye. He wears a purple and yellow vertical striped long sleeve shirt with red pointed cuffs and his lower half is rainbow colored scallop ruffles. His right hoof is pink while his left hoof is red. His hoof hands also match his hooves, but left is pink while right is red.

Round 2 is going better. I used a hot knife & pinking shears to cut this polyester jacquard that frays like crazy. It's actually a thrifted Fiesta brand tablecloth.

Hey, uh, don't wait 14 years to clean your sewing machine. I found thread trapped in here from when I made Ahri in 2013 😬 The lint in the 2nd photo is the stuff I had to remove manually with tweezers from deep within the machine. Much more was vacuumed out. 🫠

Thrifted this leather Patricia Nash wallet purse for $5, but the strap was missing. I couldn't find a replacement online that I liked so I made one using some vintage embroidered cotton trim I inherited from my mom's stash. It's backed with navy duck cotton so its is HEFTY AF. #sewing #thrifting

So, does anyone need any stretch spandex binding trim for their projects? I uhhh have a lot. Some are 7/8 inch wide and some are 1.25 inches wide. I may list these up on Etsy and my Ko-Fi for people to buy in 5 yd or 10 yd increments.

Last week I found this unfinished factory sample overalls for $5 at the thrift store. Yesterday, I seam ripped the buttonholes & added the clasps & made it wearable. It's definitely Asian sized because the fit is WILD.
