Today seems to be iOS tweak release day with the amount of releases. Is it 2014 again?

Apparently iOS 27 removes plenty of stuff that worked well in iOS 26. In addition to that, there are very few actual features for users outside the US. Seems like an update that I rather dislike again after I was quite happy about iOS 26. So far, it’s just a beta.

Somehow we’re at a point where these projects are made to be future proof as well. Nice.

Thank god, I’m not into the #ESC that much this year. Unfortunate that Austria has so few points but it’s not like the songs were that great this year anyways. I don’t even want to speak about Germany with what happened behind the scenes. Can’t wait for next year and awesome song from Cosmo.

The downfall of Fortnite is just so unfortunate. It was bound to happen but Epic is making it unnecessarily worse. I remember chapter 2 being a huge change to the game coming almost 3 years after launch. Now we get new chapters constantly and they all feel the same.

Honestly, everytime I think my phone has enough storage I’m somehow always wrong. Though moving many things to the PC works out decently at least.

It’s only been around a week since the Jailbreak exploit news for iOS 17.0-17.2.1 came out. Now there is a new exploit chain targeting iOS 18.4-18.7 with parts supporting up to iOS 26.2. We literally have zero days public here. Not sure in what times we’re living but this is incredibly exciting.

The thought that apparently there’s nothing you can do against vandalism is mind blowing to me. No one says it’s easy but it requires work. And that’s why most cities don’t care.

Great stuff. This not requiring a server as well as being open source is big. Though I do hope the remaining TubeRepair stuff is also on the list. Never expected Preloading to become a second bag.xml.

Surprisingly I have to give shithole platform a little bit of credit for "destroying" Nintendeen. He’s getting no fans on there instead people are actually ratioing him under everything he posts.

Why is my iOS keyboard correcting the German article "Das" to DAs even when I’m using the German keyboard? It just doesn’t make sense. Until now I expected iOS 17.2.1 to be flawless.

Seems like I always like the unpopular choices while disliking the popular ones. I guess I’m back to not liking the German entry. And this time it’s extra disappointing.

Can we please start showing support for male rape victims? It’s beyond disgusting how that issue is just so big and seemingly normalised. No rape victim is "lucky". Zero.

Yes, Nintendo could’ve put out a Direct with no issue. In fact they can do that almost all the time. They choose not to, to not reveal games too early and to have a big impact in June instead. Huge Directs are never possible when Nintendo Fans always expect a Direct every week.

As much as I hate Elon to rule over that name this is bound to lead to desaster. And well, we have Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon. How is this going to work? I mean if we look at what happened to the Limewire name. 😔

Unique user interfaces? We truly lost those… Unique Bluesky posts? Nope, I choose to complain about modern design…

ok, Prime 4 is peak Well, maybe I’m just 2 hours in but I have plenty of fun. The game is short which works out, the game is linear which works out considering I’m a Skyward Sword fan and visually it’s just stunning for a Nintendo game.

Apparently this is the new SideStore interface. It’s not out yet but I’m not sure what to think about it to be honest. One one hand I like the iOS 26 implementation but on the other hand it looks simpler and just different. The color seems to be gone as well.

Revamped user interface for the iOS app SideStore showing a liquid glass tab bar with the tabs store, apps and settings. The SideStore icon which can be seen at the left of app section for the installed SideStore is indeed updated with a 3D iOS 26 style.

My realisation of the day is that short content is "only" the successor of trash tv. People always yearned (yep) for low quality quickly made content with no benefit to you whatsoever. It’s just that short platforms lead a whole new and young audience to that content. 🤷‍♂️

In cases where I feel like DHL is a disappointment I always need to think about DPD or Hermes. Though I guess DPDs pro is that they deliver even when you’re not there. So at least that’s a thing. Though apparently the working conditions are horrible. That’s always great…

Being overly obsessed with music streaming statistics is just cringe to me. Like yeah, who cares what you listened to. The artist doesn’t either. If you’re talking about Wrapped in specific you are talking about a service that’s not worth your support. The whole thing is powered by AI somehow now…

Basically this. It’s unfortunate that this targets Metroid Prime 4 of all games but it was foreseeable with the long wait. Essentially 80 ratings aren’t bad or even mid. In fact Metroid Dread has one and most people would consider that game great.

It's interesting that - even if you completely disregard the many issues with AI and act like it's the greatest innovation ever - AI is still only something that can be "well used" in an extremely small amount of circumstances in a sparingly way.

There are so many statistics and information that are impossible to get yet so interesting. For example: how many people have I interacted with, how many steps do people walk on average depending on age or what kind of first memories do people have.

Note how Game Key Cards are only an issue with big publishers. Smaller studios somehow have no issues releasing games fully on card. Therefore it’s likely that cost isn’t that big of an issue regarding the whole thing.
