IMO all these generative AI pricks should be giving Scarleteen millions of dollars a year to compensate us for the work they are absolutely scraping and the thousands of hours of labor spent correcting the people deceived by their products.

@waywordradio.org Have you heard the term “net-net” used outside of investing? I read a report that used it multiple times to mean something like “on balance” or “on the whole,” based on context, but I haven’t found it used elsewhere in that sense.

These days, when the knowledge of the universe is at our fingertips, it’s refreshing to know that some expertise cannot be gained without dedicated study and apprenticeship. At least I think that’s what you need to delete a horizontal line in Microsoft Word.

Underrated aspect of the new Browns stadium is the right wing billionaire owners demanded $600M from the county, and the county executive simply said no, and now the billionaires are contributing more @jcbradbury.com www.cleveland.com/news/2026/03...
There are three reasons for the changes in the funding plan: the extra $200 million for design enhancements, a lower ask for Brook Park taxes, and county Executive Chris Ronayne's refusal to support the use of county tax dollars.

Americans drive a lot more than people in other rich countries. If we didn’t drive so much, we wouldn’t die in so many crashes. It’s a simple point, but one that NHTSA, traffic engineers, and many road safety org’s have yet to learn. Me, in Bloomberg 🧵

The US Is Counting Traffic Deaths Wrong
By emphasizing the number of people killed per mile rather than deaths per capita, traffic safety groups risk normalizing the factors that make American roads so deadly.
