Two things I want every newly out or young transfem to know 1) HRT is literally puberty. That means it's a roughly 10 year long process. You might see results early, you might see them late, but it will work. 2) there is no healthcare pioneered for trans ppl. All trans healthcare is also cis care

I think growing up with dysphoria absolutely left permanent, horrible scarring on my psyche, perception of the self, and self-worth that I’m still healing. But I also don’t think I’d be nearly the person I am today without the perspective and empathy and curiosity it’s provided.

I was born a baby too and obviously that changed. I am forever engaged in the divine alchemy of the self. Do you look at cheese and call it delusional milk? Do you look at wine and insist it's grapes actually? Absurd. Was I always a girl? Who cares, I am a woman of my own design *now*

Dear cis people, Please, for the love of G-d, stop using the terms "biological male" and "biological female." They're scientifically meaningless. Sex is a bimodal cluster categorization. The brain is biological, no? There is no one factor that's universally determinative of sex and gender.

There's variances between cis men and cis women, variances among trans and nonbinary people to, and there is no truly level playing field. There also isn't an absolute rule of nature that men are always stronger and that's a myth the patriarchy would love you to continue to swallow wholesale

ADHD is both real and a social construct. 'Neurodevelopmental disorders' in general are both real and socially constructed. Lots of things are both real and social constructs: money, the economy, gender, society. I'm sick of people talking like 'social construct' is a synonym for 'fake'.

Also for the cis gals reading: you'll get along so much better with your trans sisters if you stop trying to view us as former men and instead view as girls who were put through the abuse of enforced manhood. Put yourself in our shoes, imagine if everyone doubted your womanhood etc

I created my bsky years ago and never used it. Then I came back just to follow some trans artists (and Tom Bloom) never intending to interact. But this week alone I ended up doing so Why did I have such a rule? I just miss being active online like before transition. Even saying hi is scary now
