Gonna start making my first set of real world assets for VR as a tribute to my favorite audio company that helped many genres and cultures get a footing in the grand scheme of the music scene. Cerwin-Vega! :3

The return to physical media is a radical act. A book in your hand or a record on the turntable belong to a world beyond subscriptions, licenses, and corporate permission, and they can be lent, inherited, annotated, repaired, and loved. They remain when the platform fails and the servers die.

The "promise" of progress and technology was to free us from mundane labor and pursue creativity. Instead it's freed us from creativity. I think about this every day.

Update: they are in my room now. They need - Cleaning - Woofers Re-foamed - New fabric on grilles (due to cat damage) - cleaned X-over switches - upgrade cabinet bracing - swap tweeters to silk dome since one of them is dead The rest like the PA speakers and receiver will be cleaned and re-sold.

A pair of Cerwin-Vega! E-712 floorstanding speakers with the grille off on one of them showing off the drivers. They are in a fair state in need of cleaning.

So very excited to be playing at Star Party tomorrow with some lovely folks :D I'll play slow, funky stuff to activate your neurons to. Great for swaying, zoning out, sinking into the floor, and being very close to your special people.

E-Waste is getting to the point where people are throwing out phones and audio gear every year at this point. Stop throwing shit away because it's old. Learn to repair stuff you see, like that Roland DEP-5 Effects Processor with a few knobs missing; (deleted pervious post I spotted something)

Idk if this is helpful but I had to roll back my nvidia driver to an earlier version when Bakery was misbehaving in unity and wouldn’t bake or would get hung up.

Upto my bs again :3 The tweeter gave out on the left speaker and turned out to be dried up ferrofluid, so I replaced the diaphragm in the smoked tweeter and refreshed the ferrofluid on both. My god Donna Summer sounds so right coming out of these. Side note these are running on like 5-10 watts :3
