Please help. People's needs always increase this time of year but this year is even greater than usual, and when we run out of tents people are sleeping unsheltered. Finances are tight for everyone but how far are any of us from homelessness?

I volunteer with my dog at a care facility and the daughter of one of the residents surprised me with a painting she made of my dog. It perfectly captures her personality and is such a beautiful gift.

With the reports of retail vehicle oil and lubricant shortages coming out, get your servicing done soon, or stock up if you DIY. Had an oil change this morning at a major national retailer, and the retail shelves were bare of most oil filters, and single quarts and 5qt jugs are dwindling.

Why does it matter what an action is called, so long as people are getting involved? Every time a "general strike" fizzles out, that weakens the power of the actual mechanism. A general strike is meant to send cold shivers down the state and bosses' spines. It is a threat. It is our nuclear option.

Local reporters understand that what's happening in the Twin Cities doesn't have much of a precedent. It's not a political response (pink hat protest), it's an existential one. It is actual resistance to a violent external threat that is ICE terrorizing neighbors and families.
