Fantasy 100% does. It's evident in the audience response to the "cozy" fantasy books and any critical analysis of them. You don't even have to say that they're poorly written! Just looking at the themes they contain with any sort of critical eye is enough to get you yelled at.

Things people threatened me with violence for: 1. We didn't require KN-95s for all people. 2. Children aged 5 and under were not required to mask. 3. We allowed eating and drinking in the building. 4. I personally didn't overhaul the HVAC system for the convention center. 5. Not requiring boosters.

And others who agree with them are simply not ready to deal with this yet. When you call it out and say "Hey I got harassed and it was really bad" they either tell you that it's your fault for not doing everything perfectly OR write it off as "people are scared and sometimes cross the line."

They are just as likely to threaten you and your organization with physical violence. They are just as likely to tell you to kys. They are MORE likely to threaten to harm themselves and then tell you it will be all your fault. However they do not threaten you with sexual violence which is nice tbh.

She wasn't particularly nice or decent person. But she recognized it and got her shit together and did her therapy even though she had shit role models for parents. I am sure if we asked her what she thought about me now, she'd say something shitty. But I love her anyway. And I am so proud of her.

I once lived next to a woman who would spend hours screaming at her boyfriend. I could never figure out if it was some kind of reactive abuse or if she was the abusive one. There was a lot going on there outside of the screaming.

The one thing I haven't seen anyone mention yet: Women have been found to be NGRI after killing their children when in postpartum psychosis before and women are still allowed to serve in the military, police, etc. This isn't the first time any of this has happened.
