Healing doesn't erase what happened. It changes your relationship with it. The wounds may remain part of your story, but they no longer get to write the ending.

It's okay to forgive yourself. 💙 Many of us carry guilt for things we wish we had done differently. We replay old mistakes, judge ourselves harshly, and hold ourselves accountable for seasons of life when we were still learning, growing, and doing the best we could with what we knew at the time.

We must stop presenting mental-health support as a last stop after someone has collapsed. It should be as normal as seeking help early for pain, high blood pressure, or a persistent cough.

Strong emotions can sometimes make us react before we fully understand what is happening inside us. The P.A.U.S.E. technique is a simple emotional regulation tool that helps us slow down, become aware of our thoughts and feelings, understand what is driving our reactions, choose healthier responses.

Children learn far more from what we do than from what we say. The way we speak to ourselves, handle conflict, express emotions, show kindness, manage stress, and treat other people often becomes part of what children carry into adulthood. #MentalHealthMatters #Parenting Credit: Laron Gs

#InternationalDayofPeace Peace often begins with kindness. A kind word. A patient response. A willingness to listen. A moment of understanding when someone is struggling. Today, let's choose kindness toward ourselves and toward others. 💚 #InternationalDayOfPeace #Vision2040

#YouthMentalHealthDay Youth #mental health is shaped by more than individual resilience. It is influenced by relationships, opportunities, hope, belonging, and the communities young people grow up in. Creating supportive environments is an investment in their future. #YouthMentalHealth

Deeply saddened by the closure of PAPYRUS and HOPELINE24/7. Although I work in youth mental health in Uganda, PAPYRUS has been a meaningful source of learning for me. Through their work, resources, and advocacy, I have learned so much about supporting young people.
