‼️Statement RE my suspension from the Greens. I was suspended for the 'crime' of being a trans woman who ran for a women's place. The "media interest" in my gender was cited as the sole reason for my suspension.

I can confirm that I have indeed been suspended from the Green Party. The only reason given for my immediate suspension is that I allegedly ‘brought the party into disrepute’ by choosing to run for a reserved female space on Green Party Council as a trans woman. In the Greens, suspensions are not a guilty verdict. I was not found guilty of breaking any rules whatsoever. The only actual disciplinary allegations against me are that I allegedly was rude to people on the internet, and that I ‘gossiped’. I was not suspended for any of this.

The only reason given for my IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION was: "EF’s recent election to GPC and the accompanying media interest”. I was suspended just 8 days after being elected, in a secret group chat discussion which included just 13 of the 36 members of GPC. My critics submitted 100 pages of transphobic articles as ‘evidence’, while I was banned from submitting anything in my defence and was not allowed to see the charges. There was no investigation.

Because I have not been found guilty of any disciplinary offences whatsoever, the only ‘appeal’ process for suspension involves asking Green Party Council to reverse their decision. This is something I have to do, so please do not email or harass any Council members. That is not going to help anybody, and I strongly discourage anyone from contacting GPC members individually. I do not want you to do that.

Suspension decisions can be reversed if GPC considers that there are ‘mitigating’ circumstances. This can include representations from other party members, submitted as part of the official process.

I have therefore set up an online form where fellow Green members can submit statements expressing support for me and defending me. Please put your name and local party so it is accepted by GPC.

It is my hope that with enough attention and support, GPC will hold a full meeting with a large turnout of all GPC members (rather than a small minority) that will overturn my suspension swiftly.

New data from Humane Borders and the Pima County, Arizona Office of the Medical Examiner reveals 19 new migrant deaths for July and 13 for June, with most remains recovered a short time after death. To date, the remains of 73 individuals have been located this year in Arizona, compared with 59 at this time last year and 103 for all of 2025.
This brings the total number of deaths in southern Arizona in the last quarter century to 4,505. The dead are men, women, and children.
"Summers are typically the deadliest season in Arizona, as people who are migrating succumb to extreme heat," says Humane Borders Executive Director Octavio Fuentes. "You simply can't carry enough water to survive; it's a terrible, inhumane, and avoidable way to die. I'm deeply concerned that we're seeing more deaths now than a year ago, and we still have two months to go."
A breakdown for July finds that five individuals had been dead less than a day, two less than a week, and four less than three months. The vast majority die from dehydration and exposure, but some also perish from hypothermia, drowning, blunt force trauma, or unknown causes. These deaths represent the tip of the iceberg, as many others go missing…
