A Statement From SAG-AFTRA President Sean Astin and National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland Regarding Paramount/Warner Bros. Antitrust Settlement ow.ly/B07W50ZPNBg

“The settlement of the Attorneys General antitrust lawsuit, announced today, addresses some of our deep concerns about production levels and investment in U.S. production.

We thank California Attorney General Rob Bonta, New York Attorney General Letitia James and the other attorneys general for helping to ensure our members’ interests were part of the conversation. Their advocacy is deeply appreciated.

We will continue to approach our relationship with Paramount with professionalism and the intention to work well together. We hope that the process of engaging with the attorneys general has impressed upon them the fact that in addition to collective bargaining, our members rely on the law to help protect our interests. These are the lowest standards that our employers must meet.

All of the companies have the opportunity to exceed their legal obligations and make additional efforts to ensure that our workplaces are healthy and that employers honor our dignity.”

OK, so I've been noticing a LOT of articles about hot dogs in the news lately and my conspiracy brain says it a PSYOP to get people to eat cheaper mystery meat with beef prices through the roof/tariffs. Like, “ooh yum, remember this very American thing we all forgot we loved as kids right… RIGHT?!”.

It's honestly unsettling how there is no one we put in power who will stand up to billionaires and fight for workers. All of them just roll over and show their bellies. If anyone pulls "are you surprised/what'd you expect" you're getting blocked. I am not in the mood most days but today especially

🚨This just in, in return for helping Paramount/WB 30 films/yr deal thru, it's rumored Bonta & gov't officials received free movie theater popcorn/drink upgrades, can sneak Icee's instead of soda at self-serve, and a private elevator for when the escalator isn't operational at the AMC Burbank 16.

Ok I love Widow’s Bay but I watched the pilot multiple times thinking it was working toward a Sixth Sense/The Shinning reveal that no one on the island was alive except for Matthew Rhys because of how the other characters interacted.

Hey @wired.com don't mess with Gen X/Millennials re: our pre-menopausal/menopause realities. My Boomer Mom & her Silent Gen Mom were ridiculed & not informed. Gen X is speaking up about women's health not because it's profitable (even if so) but because it's vital. HRT isn't a fad it's saving lives.

TV writers, please use this thread to introduce yourself. Tell people what level you are. What you write. And if there is a dream staff you’d like to work on right now. I don’t have a huge following on here but who knows? Maybe the right person will see this and give you the boost you need.

I think another lesson to take from the loss of both Dolly and Tim Curry is that neither of them took themselves seriously but they took the work dead serious that's the most important thing pour all of yourself into the craft but have fun and don't get an ego.
