Enjoyed @judithfathallah.bsky.social's point that the citation advantage and openess of publishing #OpenAccess is more personally beneficial for researchers, particularly as publishing with "prestige" legacy publishers doesn't result in permanent contracts these days anyway!

If Winnie jumps on Zara and Zara is tolerant and patient (which she normally is now) I reward her with treats. Which means Winnie gets treats too, they get treats together, so they associate each other with something nice. I think I've accidentally trained Winnie to jump on Zara for treats.

This one is Winnie. I got her from the shelter in June when she was around 6 months old and had already had a kitten despite being a kitten herself, thanks to irresponsible people. She is now around 1 and just starting to mature. A bit. I had totally forgotten what cats are like before 1.
