Youths with obesity+ asthma are difficult to treat. ...universities got $1.85 billion in NIH funding, creating ~26,000 jobs and supporting $5.8 billion in economic activity, while PA universities received $2.2 billion in NIH funding, creating ~22,000 jobs and supporting $5.2 billion dollars. Indeed, $1 spent for NIH funding generates $2.50.

Yet facts do not support this. As in prior data, most recently arrested immigrants have no criminal records+ paid taxes. In 2023, undocumented immigrants paid ~$90 billion in total taxes. Like millions in the past, most came to the US fleeing poverty or prosecution, or... #NationOfImmigrants

In 4,759 Latinos, acculturative stress, neighborhood problems+ discrimination were linked to asthma or asthma symptoms, while social cohesion was associated with lower odds of asthma. Depression+ anxiety explained 22%-26% of the cumulative stressors+ asthma symptoms link. @atscommunity.bsky.social

Luxembourg, where the Battle of the Bulge took place+ avenues are named for U.S. Presidents (including FDR). The resting place of George Patton, a great U.S. commander in WWII who never trusted the Soviet government. A shared history+ a reminder of alliances that cannot be erased by empty rhetoric.
