New preprint with @ismaelfaro.bsky.social : "Qiskit QuantumKatas — a benchmark for evaluating LLMs on quantum code". We translated Microsoft's QuantumKatas to Qiskit (350 tasks, 26 categories) and ran 16 models -frontiers, open weights- × 7 prompting setups = 39,200 runs.

We’ve upgraded the Qiskit Code Assistant! Last month, we introduced mistral-small-3.2-24b-qiskit, replacing granite-3.3-8b-qiskit. ✅ Better accuracy: The new model ranks higher across key benchmarks, including QiskitHumanEval, QiskitHumanEval Hard, HumanEval, MathQA, ASDiv, SciQ and others.

Exciting update! The Qiskit Code Assistant service now exposes compatible endpoints with OpenAI's Completions API. This integration enables seamless usage via existing libraries (OpenAI, LiteLLM, etc.), making it easy to infuse Qiskit knowledge into your LLM pipelines.

How we implemented test-time computing for open models to solve complex math problems like OpenAI o1. 👀 Test-time compute methods use dynamic inference strategies to have LLMs “think longer” on harder problems, e.g. difficult math problems.

I'll get straight to the point. We trained 2 new models. Like BERT, but modern. ModernBERT. Not some hypey GenAI thing, but a proper workhorse model, for retrieval, classification, etc. Real practical stuff. It's much faster, more accurate, longer context, and more useful. 🧵
