Was watching the Earth, Wind, & Fire documentary and learned about the group's brief outing in a cyberpunk dystopia 😆. Pretty sure sets from Blade Runner were reused for this video. They even shoot in the Bradbury Building where the ending of Blade Runner took place.

Fitting that this popped up yesterday 😅. Think you can get yourself to San Diego? I know she likes to do the occasional DJ set there.

Decided to wind down the night by checking out Questlove's documentary on Earth, Wind, & Fire and what a coincidence to find a co-star of Forgotten Island showing up. I guess I gotta check out her (H.E.R.?) music 😅.

Now learning the directors of Forgotten Island also did Puss In Boots: The Last Wish which included this very Attack On Titan-coded sequence. It all makes sense. We know what they are 😉.

So much anime influence in the movie 😆.

The character Jo in the movie Forgotten Island looking for her friend at a party but a animated bubble is extended out from the crowd to indicate her position and show her face as she's talking.

An overexaggerated portrayal of the main characters in Forgotten Island as one of them recounts a memory but embellishes everything. They are all all high fiving everywhere and releasing so much energy like they are Dragon Ball characters.

The main characters in Forgotten Island looking surprised but their expressions have become basic with sweat drops and one of them contorting their hands in a way like an anime character does when they are shocked in a humorous way.

The main characters of Forgotten Island silhouetted against red and blue flames as they walk toward the camera confidently and with strength. One of them with glasses has them reflecting light so their eyes are obscured .

How it feels recommending the book Aftertaste by @emoria.bsky.social. One of my favorite reads this year.

The meme image from the Hobgoblin Beer ad where it says "What's the matter lager boy, afraid you might taste something?" but in this case it's for the book Aftertaste by Emoria Weidner where it now says "What's the matter boy, afraid you might trans your gender?" and now featuring illustrated versions of the book's characters superimposed over the figures in the pictured tavern now all drinking bottles of clearly marked Yuri.

What’s a poster you had in your room growing up? Growing up in the '90s they talk about about what bands, or fast cars, or pretty ladies the boys had up on their walls. This was my lady straight from the Nintendo Power centerfold 😁.

I am currently in a sunk-cost fallacy with this audiobook 😮‍💨. I almost wish I were reading it instead. Narrator's doing great, but it's A LOT of different alien sounding names, places, culture, and history to process to where I feel like I need a study guide to go with it.

In the years I've lived here, I realized I had never cleaned the underside of the microwave which catches everything over the stove. This is years of hardened grease and oil 😱. I'm well over an hour into scrubbing it. There's gotta be an easier way than Goo Gone and a lot of elbow grease.

This feels about right. Ghost in the Shell should be the '95 movie but I didn't want it to get censored for boobs and butt in the thumbnail image so I went with Standalone Complex which is just about as effective for me anyway 😄.

-Trigun
-FLCL
-Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
-Cowboy Bebop
